*THE LENT SEASON. We are in the Lent season, 40 days preparation for Easter, which should be marked with fasting, penance and almsgiving. Remember your neighbour in material and spiritual need. Keep in mind obligation of abstinence from meet on Lenten Fridays. Confession Day before Easter in our parish will be April 9 at 6:00 p.m. You can have confession in Croatian or English with me or Fr. Dragan Bolčić, pastor from Montreal. Sign up your elderly and ill for the priest visit, so I could come to listen to their confession and bring them the holy Eucharist. Way of the Cross will take place in our church every Friday and Sunday, half an hour before Mass.
*CATECHISM CLASSES FOR CONFIRMANDS AND CANDIDATES FOR THE FIRST COMMUNION. Catechism classes go as ususal. Confirmands will have their class this Friday, March 21 at 7:30 p.m. Candidates for the First Communion will have their class next week, on Friday, March 28 at 7:30 p.m. Attending Sunday mass is implied for all.
*PARISH ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING. Will be held today after Mass in our church hall. Come down to the church hall and become active in our parish activities. All parishioners are invited to come for the meeting.

*UEFA NATIONS LEAGUE VIEWING PARTIES. – 2 GAMES THIS WEEK IN OUR CHURCH HALL. Jadran will be hosting the viewing of both games of the Nations League on March 20th at 3:45PM and March 23rd at 3:45PM in the church Hall. Entrance cost will be $10 and food and beverages will be available to purchase. Please join us and help us in our fundraising efforts for the 2025 season. This season will be very costly as the costs of running a premier team are high so we look forward to having excellent community support at club fundraising events. Come cheer our National Soccer Team in their Quarterfinal Games vs France!
*SPONSORSHIP AND PREPARATION FOR 2025 SEASON. As we prepare for the 2025 season, there is a lot of work to do and that cannot happen without Sponsorship support. Please spread the word that we will be looking for more sponsors in 2025 as we look to have a very successful season across all of our teams.
I would like to thank Akkodis Canada and Brian Rogic (our president) for confirming a Platinum level sponsorship for the 2025-2027 seasons. This sponsorship will be geared towards our Men’s Premier Team and will include Jersey Sponsorship and Signage at all club events and games as well as Social Media. There is one more Platinum Level Sponsorship available and we hope to confirm that company soon. We will be publishing our tiers for Sponsorship for 2025 and hope that you will support our club in any way possible.
Alternatively, if you know of people/players/volunteers that are interested in getting involved or willing to play for Jadran or volunteer their time. Please spread the word as we are always looking for strong soccer players to join our club and help us put the best possible product on the field for all of our teams. We are looking for good people that have the right attitude and fit in well socially with our teams or as volunteers willing to help out at all club events. Spread the word as we want to be a place that people feel welcome and want to help the club succeed.
